The Heusinkveld MagShift Mini is an extremely compact, robust, and durable sequential shifter. Despite its small dimensions of 169 x 91.5 x 57.5 mm, it offers a shift force of up to 8 kg and can be individually adjusted from buttery smooth to very firm. At its heart is a patented magnetic shifting mechanism with optoelectronic sensors, which operates wear-free and has been tested for up to one million shift cycles.

The MagShift Mini is the compact alternative to the larger Heusinkveld MagShift, designed for sim racers looking for a space-saving solution without sacrificing a realistic, individually adjustable shifting experience. The shifting force is 2-way adjustable: upshifting and downshifting can be regulated independently of each other. The device is Plug & Play, EMC-tested, CE-certified, and compatible exclusively with Windows PCs.

The patented magnetic shifter – Precise, consistent, and wear-free

The MagShift Mini utilizes the same patented magnetic shifting mechanism as the larger MagShift. With every shift, the magnetic system generates a sharp, tactile "click" that replicates the engagement of a real gear in a sequential gearbox. By completely avoiding mechanical wear parts, the shifting feel remains constant even after intensive and long-term use.

Shifting is triggered via optoelectronic sensors, which also have no mechanical wear parts. Heusinkveld has tested the MagShift Mini in automated trials for up to one million cycles. Additionally, every single MagShift Mini undergoes an automated testing routine before delivery. The corresponding test result for the specific device is included in the package.

2-way adjustability of shifting force

The shifting force of the MagShift Mini can be adjusted within a range of 4 to 8 kg and is 2-way configurable: upshifting and downshifting can be set to different force levels independently of each other. For example, you can combine a firm upshift with a softer downshift to simulate a specific vehicle or to perfectly match your preferred driving style.

SmartControl and SmartControl Live – Up to 4 configurable outputs

With the included Heusinkveld SmartControl software, the shifter's outputs can be expanded to up to 4 fully customizable outputs. A primary and a secondary output can be configured for each individual input. Options for the output include joystick buttons or any keyboard inputs, including modifier keys like Shift, Ctrl, and Alt. Primary and secondary outputs can be triggered simultaneously, with a delay, or independently. The triggering condition is time-based: the duration of the shift determines whether the primary, the secondary, or both outputs are activated.

Creative application examples for the SmartControl configuration include Auto-Blip (automatic rev-matching on downshifts) or Auto-Clutch. All configurations can be saved in profiles and loaded depending on the situation.

The Heusinkveld SmartControl Live software runs in the background during the simulation and allows you to switch between saved SmartControl profiles without interrupting your session.

Mounting – Standard and optional accessories

Every MagShift Mini comes with a U-shaped mounting bracket and mounting hardware. The standard bracket is designed for horizontal mounting on an aluminum profile rig or a flat surface and is attached with just two screws. On aluminum profile rigs, only a single profile slot is required. Included for profile mounting are 2x M6x12 flange screws and 2x 6mm T-nuts.

The U-mounting bracket allows for the following adjustments:

Yaw Adjustment: By rotating the U-bracket relative to the mounting surface, the shifter can be aligned horizontally.
Tilt Adjustment: By choosing a diagonal combination of the mounting holes in the U-bracket, the tilt angle of the shifter can be adjusted.

For special installation scenarios, three additional mounting accessories are available as options (purchased separately):

Angled Mount: Allows for mounting the MagShift Mini at a defined angle on an aluminum profile.
Vertical Mount: Allows for mounting on a vertical (instead of horizontal) aluminum profile beam.
Table Clamp: Allows for attachment directly to a desk or table without drilling or screwing into the tabletop.
