SimRaceShop - About us
Our story
Welcome to SimRaceShop, your go-to place for high-quality sim racing equipment. Our journey began in 2020 with a vision from Dennis Surace, also known as DENSU, a passionate sim racer and tech enthusiast.
The beginnings: From LAN parties to a Twitch channel
Dennis has been fascinated by cars and computers since he was a teenager. He was the only one in his LAN group who owned a steering wheel – back then, it didn't have any feedback, just a centering spring. Games like F1 Grand Prix 2 laid the foundation for his enthusiasm for racing simulations.
In 2018, Dennis started his Twitch channel, where he initially played Forza Horizon with his stepson. But he quickly wanted more. Races were organized together with the community, and in April 2019, DENSU joined iRacing, creating a dedicated community.
The DENSU flag and the birth of SimRaceShop
As a sim racer, you're always coming up with new ideas to improve your simulator. That's how the idea of an LED matrix flag display in a 3D-printed case with a plexiglass panel came about – the first DENSU flag was born! Demand from the Twitch community was high, so Dennis didn't hesitate for long and opened the SimRaceShop.
Thanks to existing partnerships with manufacturers, Dennis was able to quickly fill his small warehouse, consisting of two or three shelves in his garage, with high-quality hardware.
Growth and expansion
SimRaceShop grew rapidly, and the product range was constantly expanded. The garage became too small, and a move to Buseck-Trohe was necessary. There, customers could test hardware in a special simulator. But this building also quickly became too small.
Dennis initially ran the shop part-time as an IT manager. In order to cope with the growing product range and increasing demand, he decided at the end of 2022 to run SimRaceShop full-time, which he was able to do in the summer of 2023.
The concept: stock items and customer proximity
SimRaceShop relies on stock goods to ensure fast delivery times. This concept has proven itself and contributed to the shop's success.
Back to the roots: Lich and the fulfillment of a dream
In July 2023, Dennis moved to Lich, his birthplace, and fulfilled a dream there. The new commercial property offered enough space for a large warehouse, an office, and a showroom.
Expansion and offline store
In 2024 and 2025, the warehouse was expanded, and in May 2025, Dennis and his team opened a large offline store with around 450m² full of sim racing, model car, and motorsport fan merchandise.
Sim racing center
The new store offered the opportunity to integrate a professionally equipped sim racing center. At sim-racing-center.de, customers can book simulators and plan events.
