The Sabelt Sim Racing Keyboard Pocket is a compact keyboard tray made of 3 mm thick curved steel that attaches directly to the profile frame of Sabelt cockpits. The mount can be flexibly installed at various positions on the rig – both on the side and top slots of the aluminum profiles. This allows for space-saving and ergonomically optimized storage of a keyboard without requiring additional floor space. The Keyboard Pocket is compatible with the Sabelt P, S, and X cockpit series.

Mounting and Positioning in the Cockpit

Thanks to its slot compatibility, the Keyboard Pocket can be positioned at various points on the Sabelt cockpit frame. Using the side profile slots allows for attachment next to the seat, while the top slots enable mounting above the primary structure. The best position depends on your individual cockpit configuration and personal ergonomic preference while seated.

Keyboard Pocket vs. Keyboard Tray – Which solution fits best?

Sabelt offers two different keyboard mounting solutions for sim racing cockpits, which differ in design and purpose:

Keyboard Pocket: A compact, shell-shaped tray made of curved 3 mm steel. The keyboard rests inside the pocket and is held in place by its shape. Ideal for compact keyboards used occasionally, such as for game settings, chat, or menu navigation. It attaches directly to the profile slots of the cockpit frame.
Keyboard Tray: A flat tray plate that offers a wider supporting surface. Best suited if a larger or more frequently used keyboard needs to be permanently available at the cockpit.
