REALISM

Experiencing realism is the main goal of SET TAU. Thanks to the design and experience of the people we work with, we have been able to achieve the operation of a real rally car. Engage and downshift with the same force and feel a "click" with every movement.

HALL SENSOR

Two Hall sensors are responsible for the precise detection of the gearshift position. They react sensitively to changes in the magnetic field generated by the magnet used. When the lever is moved, these sensors generate a digital signal which is then transmitted to the control unit. Thanks to this solution, the position of the lever is carefully monitored and converted into appropriate control signals.

ADVANTAGES

Hall sensors offer many advantages, giving the TAU SEQUENTIAL SHIFTER V2 even more functionality and benefits. One of the most important advantages of this solution is contactless operation. Hall sensors work without physical contact with the measured object, which reduces wear and increases their service life. In addition, they provide accurate and repeatable measurements which, in combination with a fast response to the changing magnetic field, significantly improve the quality of the simulation.

FUNCTIONAL PRINCIPLE

The operating principle of the TAU SEQUENTIAL SHIFTER is based on a two-stage force change. Thanks to the carefully designed geometry of the structure and the appropriately selected spring, the mechanism simulates the effect of "breaking the force". This means that the user initially feels an increase in force when changing gear, which decreases from a certain point. This mechanism faithfully reflects the way a sequential gearbox typical of racing cars works and ensures an authentic driving experience. The effect is further enhanced by the characteristic click when shifting in and out of gears.

BALL BEARINGS

The new V2 version has been improved by using ball bearings instead of plain bushings. This change has a significant impact on the smooth operation of moving elements and increases their durability, minimizing the need for frequent maintenance. Thanks to these modernizations, the TAU SEQUENTIAL SHIFTER V2 will be a reliable device that will serve you well for many years.
