Grand Opening of the New SimRaceShop in Lich
On Friday, May 23, 2025, at 12:00 PM, the official opening of the new SimRaceShop in the town center of Lich took place, conducted by the owner, Mr. Dennis Surace.
The opening was traditionally marked by cutting the symbolic ribbon.
After an intensive preparation period of approximately eight weeks, the shop was able to open its doors. This marks the realization of a long-held dream of the owner: a brick-and-mortar store that complements the online retail presence, offering ample space for innovation and new ideas.
The product range includes not only high-end items from the sim-racing sector but also a variety of other offerings. Motorsport enthusiasts will find plenty to discover: in addition to fan merchandise such as T-shirts, caps, and keychains, there is an extensive selection of die-cast models from manufacturers like IXO, Solido, and Werk83. For the younger visitors, toy cars are available to ensure that even the little guests can enjoy the experience.
The highlight of the shop consists of the racing simulators and the display of various steering wheels. A total of six simulators with different hardware setups are available for testing and for actual riding. The goal is to provide a genuine sim-racing experience: customers can virtually race for as little as 5 euros and test the quality of the equipment firsthand.
For young aspiring drivers, specially designed kid-friendly simulators with appropriate hardware are also available, ensuring that young racing fans are well catered for.
A dedicated corner with a play mat and toy vehicles that can be driven around a small race track encourages the youngest visitors to play.
In addition, the shop offers seating for spectators, a snack vending machine, and plenty of space for socializing in a cozy setting.
Visit from the Mayor
The mayor, Dr. Neubert, also attended the opening and took the opportunity to try out a professional racing simulator, experiencing genuine sim-racing firsthand. With a bit more experience in navigating the tracks, he would undoubtedly have driven more confidently—but everyone has to start somewhere. We sincerely thank him for his visit.
